The First Step of the Divine Countdown
Text: Exodus 13:17-22 (DDSV Interpretation)
17 Following the release by Pharaoh, the Divine Designer withheld the route through the Philistines (which was near), decreeing, “So the assembly of Yisrael will not falter in their commitment upon witnessing conflict, prompting a return to Mitsrayim (Egypt).”
18 Consequently, the Divine Designer guided the assembly by the winding path of the wilderness toward the appointed Red Sea (modern Sea of Aqabah) region. The children of Yisrael proceeded in Divine Marching Order out of the land of bondage.
19 Moshah (Moses) carried the consecrated remains of Yahuseph (Joseph), having secured an oath from the children of Yisrael, affirming: “The Divine Designer will execute His visitation, and you will elevate my mortal structure from this place with you.”
20 The assembly transitioned from Sukkoth (Tabernacles) and established their encampment in Etham, positioned at the edge of the sanctified wilderness.
21 Yaw-huw-waw’ (The Presence) led them by day with a Pillar of Cloud, directing their progress on the consecrated route, and by night with a Pillar of Fire/Brilliance, providing illumination, thus sustaining their journey through the cycle of day and night.
22 The guiding Pillar of Cloud by day and the Pillar of Fire/Brilliance by night did not depart from before the people of Yisrael.

Maaziah | The integration of the 24 Priestly Divisions (Mishmarot) within this study highlights the orderly nature of the Divine Design as it was historically maintained within the Temple services. The first calendar of the Chaldees was a lunar-solar calendar that had 2 24-week cycles every year. Each cycle was completed in 6 months. The nations of Daniel 2 are usually interpreted as Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome.
The first week of the Shabbath count tracks the initial movement of the Exodus, progressing from the region of Sukkoth toward Etham, just North . This journey signifies the transition from the land of bondage into the beginning of the wilderness sanctification. Prophetic Timeline (2026) * Priestly Duty Roster Transition During this first Sabbath, the Temple Duty Roster sees a specific shift in responsibility between the priestly families: * Outgoing Family: Harim (3). * Incoming Family: Seorim (4). This weekly rotation, established by King David, provides a rhythmic, structural alignment with the sacred calendar. Whenever there was a major Feast like the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost, or the Feast of Tabernacles, the regular incoming and outgoing Temple Roster changing of the Priestly families, in addition, all of the other families would show up, help out, and leave. Some calendars that are assumed by some to be historically compelling make a separate time apart from the regular schedule for the major Feasts. It just doesn’t fit. They say Nisan 1 begins on the 4th day from the Spring Equinox because that was the day the sun, moon and stars were creating, and disregarding the fact that there were 3 numerated days before the sun, moon and stars.

Theological Reflection
This initial Sabbath marks the start of the seven-week countdown—the Omer—leading toward the Feast of Weeks (Shabhuoth/Pentecost). It serves as a spiritual pivot, moving from the commemoration of the Resurrection toward the outpouring of the Spirit at Mount Sinai. Could you see how Sukkoth, in which the nation would be sequestered on the exact same day of the first month that Yashua would later be sealed in the tomb? And that the next morning, leaving Sukkoth with the dead bones of Yahuseph (Joseph) would be a type ans shadow of how Yashua would leave the tomb that was borrowed from a man with the name Yahuseph (Joseph)? Also, that the day Yashua would show Himself to Toma (Thomas)
